Bobby Brown is the latest celebrity victim of an online death hoax – the star’s rep has been forced to confirm he is alive and well following a spate of rumors suggesting he had died.
Fake stories of Brown’s demise began circulating on social-networking website Twitter.com this week (beg26Apr10)
A spokesman for the New Edition singer has now come forward to silence the gossip, telling TVGuide.com the rumors are not true.
Brown is the latest in a long line of stars who have been targeted by online pranksters – Johnny Depp, Zach Braff and Bill Cosby have all been victims of false death reports in the last few months.
