Crowes To Start Hiatus As Hall Of Fame Inductees

Rockers the Black Crowes will start their latest hiatus as Georgia Music Hall of Fame inductees.

The bandmates, who are planning to take a year off in 2011 to spend more time with their families, are to be part of the 32nd Annual Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards Show on 11 September (10), when they’ll be inducted.

The group will part ways in December (10) after completing dates on the Say Goodnight To The Bad Guys tour.

Guitarist Rich Robinson says, “We should walk away from this while everyone’s in a good mood.

“We all have babies. I’m expecting one any day now. Chris Robinson and Luther Dickinson just had kids. It seemed like a good time (to take a break).”

But Robinson insists the band isn’t splitting up again, like it did in 2002: “To me, hiatus means there is no plan. We haven’t said, ‘Let’s get back together in 2012.’ And we haven’t said, ‘Let’s not.’”
