A representative for N-Dubz’s Dappy has dismissed reports the musician was ejected from a theme park for smoking cannabis, just a day after the star apologized for taking controversial drug mephedrone.
The British rapper was caught on camera taking the substance after a gig last month (Mar10) and exposed by a U.K. tabloid earlier this week (28Apr10).
Dappy, real name Dino Contostavlos, apologized to fans for his behavior and tried to escape the scandal with a visit to England’s Alton Towers amusement park with pals.
Dappy’s group checked into the centre’s hotel but was reportedly forced to leave after other guests allegedly complained of a “funny smell” wafting from his room, sparking speculation they were smoking marijuana.
An onlooker tells Britain’s The Sun, “He and two others were marched out,” with a spokesperson for the park adding: “We have a strict no drugs policy.”
But a spokesperson is adamant Dappy wasn’t smoking marijuana – and that the smell came from tobacco cigarettes.
