Sir Paul McCartney’s secrets are safe with his ex-publicist Geoff Baker – the former representative insists he turned down a $225,000 deal to write a tell-all book about the Beatles legend.
Baker worked with the singer for 15 years before they parted ways in 2004, when McCartney released a statement explaining that his rep’s behavior had “not reached the professional standards I had come to expect”.
Despite being made jobless by McCartney, Baker insists he would never betray the star in exchange for a huge pay cheque.
He tells Britain’s Daily Express, “Once you’ve had a falling out with a colossus it’s hard to pick up the pieces.
“I’ve been offered £150,000 to write a tell-all book on Paul but I’ve turned it down and will continue to turn down offers like that.”
