Michael Lohan was arrested Thursday and charged with criminal contempt.
Long Island Police say the estranged father of Lindsay Lohan violated an order of protection when he contacted his ex-girlfriend, Erin Muller.
Muller, 34, told the New York Post that Lohan, 49, phoned her at work Jan. 21.
He had been arrested on a similar charge in December.
Muller’s attorney, Bryan Konoski, told the Post that the violation occurred on Jan. 21.
Lohan denied the sequence of events to E! Online, claiming that it was not only Muller who called him on his cell phone but also that she phoned him a second time on Jan. 27 and apologized.
