The Hills star Jason Wahler has been sentenced to three years probation after pleading guilty to drink driving charges.

The reality TV bad boy, 23, was also ordered to attend an alcohol-offender program.

Wahler was also sentenced to serve two days behind bars in court in Orange County, California on Monday (03May10), but was given credit for time already served.

He was arrested in March (10) and tests shows he was more than twice over the legal limit.

Reality TV star Jason Wahler has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence (DUI) following his arrest in California earlier this month (Mar10).

The former The Hills star was taken into custody in Newport Beach on 19 March (10), just days after finding himself in trouble with police in Mexico following a bar brawl.

Wahler’s latest run-in with the law has left him facing up to six months in jail if convicted, after the Orange County District Attorney filed two crimes against him on Tuesday (30Mar10), reports TMZ.com.

He has since returned to his sobriety meetings in a bid to kick his drink problem once and for all.

After the California arrest, he said, “I never want to drink again. If I don’t stay sober. I am not going to have a life.”

Wahler has had a number of alcohol-related troubles in recent years – he was busted in Seattle, Washington last year (09) and charged with assault and minor drinking following a scuffle, while he was ordered to attend rehab in 2008 after punching a tow truck driver in the face. He was also jailed in 2007 for fighting in the lobby of a Seattle hotel.

Disgraced reality TV star Jason Wahler feels extremely "ashamed" after he was arrested again last week (19Mar10) for allegedly driving under the influence (DUI).

He was also jailed in 2007 for fighting in the lobby of a Seattle hotel.

Wahler is disappointed by his own bad behavior and has apologized to fans of the popular MTV series.

He tells Usmagazine.com, “I am very, very ashamed of everything. I am very sorry for everything that’s happened.”

Wahler claims he “lost contact” with his Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) sponsor after getting “distracted”, adding, “(I) started falling out of the program… It was one drink or a few. It wasn’t a binge or anything.”

He resumed his sobriety meetings on Wednesday (24Mar10) and Wahler is determined to kick his addiction – before it kills him.

He says, “I never want to drink again. If I don’t stay sober. I am not going to have a life.”
