Jessica Simpson has dismissed speculation she’s preparing to undergo cosmetic surgery.
The singer was spotted leaving a Los Angeles medical center on Monday (14Jun10) and insiders claimed she had been consulting a surgeon about beauty procedures.
But Simpson has laughed off the rumors, insisting she was merely undergoing a medical check-up.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, “True – went to the doctor yesterday. False – plastic surgery.”

The Shining star has been linked to a number of actresses and models over the years, including Lara Flynn Boyle, Anjelica Huston and Michelle Phillips, and has fathered six children with different women.
But the Hollywood Lothario hasn’t slowed down since turning 73 last month (Apr10) – he’s reportedly invited 29-year-old singer Simpson to join him for an evening together.
Simpson, who declined the offer, tells Britain’s The Sun, “I have no idea how Jack got my number as we’ve never met. He asked if I wanted to go to his Beverly Hills house for dinner.”
Jessica Simpson has returned to acting with a guest role in hit TV show Entourage.
The singer has supplemented her music career with a string of acting roles, including a turn in 2005 movie The Dukes of Hazzard and 2007’s Blonde Ambition.
She has also enjoyed a string of cameo appearances in That ’70s Show.
Simpson has now revealed she’s spent two days filming a guest slot in Entourage alongside Adrian Grenier and Jeremy Piven, reportedly playing herself.
The singer revealed the news in a post on her Twitter.com page. She writes, “I have the utmost respect for the entire cast and crew of Entourage! Thank you for making the past 2 days memorable.”
Jessica Simpson has hinted she’s looking for love with a celebrity boyfriend, insisting anyone she dates must "understand her lifestyle".
The singer was married to former boyband star Nick Lachey, and has since dated singer John Mayer and American football star Tony Romo.
Simpson has been single since splitting with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Romo last summer (09), and she admits she’s ready to give love another go.
But any potential suitor must be able to cope with her fame. She says, “They definitely have to understand my life and what I put up with and what I deal with. Being scrutinised publicly… that can definitely make or break a relationship and you have to have that strong foundation… so I have to have somebody that understands that kind of lifestyle.”
Jessica Simpson has developed an addiction to nicotine chewing gum, even though she has never smoked a cigarette.
The singer started using the product, which is designed to help smokers quit, by accident – but now relies on it for energy.
She says: “I am addicted to Nicorette gum… Never in my life have I smoked.
“The first time I ever chewed a piece of Nicorette gum one of my close friends’ mother gave it to me. I think she thought she was giving me a piece of regular gum.
“I was chewing it and it was like a party in my mouth. It was like fireworks and ‘Oh my God, I’m talking a million miles per hour and I love this gum and what kind of gum is this? I have to have this gum!’
“It’s Nicorette and it gives me energy – it’s like drinking three Red Bulls (energy drinks).’
Pop star/actress Jessica Simpson only brushes her teeth three times a week – because she doesn’t want to mess with the whiteness.
The singer and Dukes of Hazzard star regularly flosses and uses mouthwash to keep her breath fresh – but she refuses to brush daily with toothpaste.
Appearing on Wednesday’s (28Apr10) Ellen show in America, Simpson says, “My teeth are so white and I don’t like them to feel too slippery, but I do use Listerine and I do floss everyday. But, I don’t brush them everyday.”
And even then, she’s reluctant to use a toothbrush: “I’ll use a shirt or something. I know it’s gross but I always have fresh breath.”
