Lindsay Lohan had not been drinking when her alcohol-monitoring bracelet went off earlier this month (Jun10) – tests have confirmed the actress was booze-free.

The Mean Girls actress was ordered to wear the SCRAM device in May (10) after missing probation hearings related to drug and drink-driving arrests.

The anklet began flashing during an MTV Movie Awards afterparty in Los Angeles on 6 June (10) and a judge issued a bench warrant for Lohan’s arrest. The warrant was recalled when the actress posted extra bail money, and she insisted she had done “nothing” to trigger the bracelet.

And now Lohan’s story has been confirmed after a urine test taken at the time of the alert proved there was no alcohol in the star’s system, according to her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley, who confirmed the news to E! Online.

A source tells the website, “They did a urinalysis through Medtox labs and it was indicated conclusively that there was no alcohol in her system at that time. She… just got report back and it was negative.”

Lohan is due back in court on 6 July (10).

American Pie star Chris Klein has been released from jail after he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).

The actor was pulled over by police in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning (16Jun10). He failed a field sobriety test and was hauled off to jail, reportedly being held on $25,000 bail.

Klein, 31, was released from custody later on Wednesday and was caught on camera leaving the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) jail in Van Nuys.

The star was seen with Lindsay Lohan’s representative David Perez, who posted bail for the actress in her recent arrest warrant scandal.

Klein refused to comment to reporters about the incident as he got into a car and was driven away.

Lindsay Lohan will "blow people’s minds" when her upcoming movie about iconic porn star Linda Lovelace is released, according to filmmaker Matthew Wilder.

The Mean Girls actress will be back on the big screen next year (11) playing the controversial adult sex star in Inferno.

The movie’s director, Wilder, insists that despite her party girl reputation, Lohan is a “thoughtful” actress who shines in her portrayal of troubled star Lovelace – because the two have much in common.

He tells E! Online, “Both of them grew up in this case where there was kind of this whole industry built around them. It’s built around destroying (Lohan). The real person is very thoughtful and cares about acting and has a lot of heart. Not this kind of screwball that’s depicted everyday in the press.

“(Fans are) not going to see this whacked-out person… They’re going to see the artist coming out. I feel like when this actually comes out and when you see what the movie is and what she’s doing, it’s going to be so unexpected that it’s going to actually kind of blow people’s minds.”

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has been dealt another blow – her personal assistant has quit.

The Mean Girls star’s aide, Elinore, reportedly resigned on Wednesday (09Jun10), with insiders telling TMZ.com the employee was “exhausted” and had “had enough of Lindsay’s demands”.

The website reports Elinore had only held the position for a few months and was upset after Lohan ordered her to remain at her side “for days on end”.
