Michael And Dina Lohan Hold Meeting Over Lindsay

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan’s embattled parents Michael and Dina have made amends by holding a meeting to discuss their troubled daughter.

The former couple has been at loggerheads ever since Dina took Michael to court last year (09), accusing him of failing to keep up with his child support payments.

In recent months, Michael Lohan has been calling for Lindsay to be sent to rehab to overcome an alleged painkiller addiction and he has been demanding a meeting with Dina to discuss their troubled family situation.

The pair has now met up, along with their attorneys, just days after their eldest daughter was confined to California and ordered to wear an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet in a probation hearing on Monday (24May10), stemming from a 2007 arrest.

Lohan’s parents met to discuss their family drama and the ongoing custody support disagreement, according to Michael Lohan.

He says, “Everything is fine. Dina and I are finally on the same page and there are 15 pages to prove it. We’re going to court to tell the judge that we worked this out on our own. I know that I made the wrong decisions by holding money over Dina, which in the long run actually hurt my children.

“For this I am sorry. After court on 3 June, from a united front, Dina and I will give a statement and I will be happy to discuss how my decision and course of action have changed. I want to thank Dina very much and I look forward to moving in a very positive direction.”

Aaron Carter: ‘Lohan Deserves Her Punishment’

Aaron Carter

Aaron Carter is pleased Lindsay Lohan has been strapped with an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet, insisting his ex-girlfriend "deserves" the punishment.

The Mean Girls star has been forbidden from leaving California and must now wear the device, which alerts authorities if she consumes booze, after a judge ordered her to refrain from drinking or taking illegal drugs for the foreseeable future.

The sentencing stems from a 2007 arrest during a turbulent period of the actress’ life which saw her detained several times on driving under the influence charges and accused of taking three men hostage during a drunken drive through Malibu, California.

And pop star Carter, who dated Lohan in 2002, wholeheartedly approves of the judge’s ruling, insisting “an example” should be made of his former lover.

He tells OKMagazine.com, “It hurts me to see that. I hope she can really learn something from this. They are going to make an example of you now, Lindsay, and you deserve it.

“You don’t get in the car with two people and go chasing after your assistant going a hundred miles an hour down PCH (Pacific Coast Highway).”

And Carter – younger brother of Backstreet Boys star Nick – has also voiced his support for Lohan’s estranged dad Michael, branding him a “very good man”.

He adds, “Michael Lohan is a very good man. He was thrown under the bus very bad by that family. It takes a man to keep a family strong sometimes. I would go and find her dad. I wouldn’t even care about finding her mother.”

Lohan’s Dad Pleased With Ruling

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan’s father Michael is pleased with a court order which will see the actress confined to California and forced to wear an alcohol-detecting device – insisting the ruling will help his daughter overcome her problems.

The Mean Girls star left a Beverly Hills courthouse on Monday (24May10) wearing the accessory strapped to her ankle after facing Judge Marsha Revel, who ordered Lohan not to leave the state and not to drink alcohol or take drugs for the foreseeable future.

The hearing came five days after Lohan missed a mandatory court appearance because she was stranded in Europe at the Cannes Film Festival in France without a passport.

Lohan must wear the tamper-proof device at all times and if she fails to meet the sober conditions of her bail, the actress faces jail.

Her father Michael Lohan is happy with the conditions set by Judge Revel and hopes the move will help his daughter put her troubles behind her.

He says, “I’m in favor of anything that keeps my daughter out of jail and helps her with her substance abuse problem. I still contend that the prescription drugs are her major problem.”

Lohan Heartbroken After Missing Brother’s Graduation

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan fought back tears during an interview on Sunday (23May10) as she told of her anguish over missing her brother’s graduation ceremony to attend a probation hearing.

The Mean Girls star skipped the important court date last week (20May10) because she was stranded in France after her passport went missing.

She returned at the weekend (22-23May10) ahead of a rescheduled court meeting on Monday (24May10) – but revealed her arrival in Los Angeles was bittersweet because she was missing her sibling’s graduation.

Her voice cracked with emotion as she admitted she was heartbroken she could not see her little brother, Michael Lohan, Jr., graduate from Ithaca College in New York.

She told Hollywood.tv, “(I feel) upset. It sucks. It’s horrible. (Our relationship) is great. I’m proud of him; I wish I could be there.”

But the actress is confident she won’t be sentenced to jail time after she meets with the judge at the Beverly Hills Courthouse.

She adds, “I don’t see what reason I would go to prison for. I have been more than in compliance with everything having to do with the court system. I would be done in two weeks and four days, because I missed one class (when) my uncle passed away. I stayed in New York to be with my family. I didn’t even go to the funeral because I came back (to Los Angeles) and did another class. I don’t see why I would have to go to prison and the only person who has ever suggested anything like that is my father.”

Judge Marsha Revel issued a warrant for her arrest after the court no-show, but representatives for Lohan posted $10,000 of her $100,000 bail and the warrant was recalled.

The judge has also stated there was reason to believe Lohan had violated the terms of her probation, which could result in a 180-day prison sentence.

Michael Lohan Slams Passport Theft Claims

Michael Lohan

Michael Lohan has slammed reports he stole his daughter Lindsay’s passport, jeopardising her important probation hearing in Los Angeles and almost landing her in jail.

The Mean Girls actress was ordered to appear before Judge Marsha Revel at Beverly Hills Courthouse on Thursday (20May10) after only completing 10 of her 13 court-ordered alcohol education classes, stemming from a 2007 arrest.

But Lohan found herself stranded in Europe on Tuesday (18May10) after losing her passport while attending the Cannes Film Festival in France.

And the star was convinced her dad was responsible for the lost document, telling GossipCop.com earlier this week (beg17May10), “My passport’s been stolen. It’s clearly an inside person who works with my father that has been sent to set me up. He’s been threatening me.”

But Michael Lohan has blasted the accusation, telling the New York Post, “No, I had nothing to do with her passport.”

A warrant was issued for Lohan’s arrest after she failed to attend the hearing, but she has escaped jail after posting the required bail money.

And Michael’s attorney Lisa Bloom has now spoken out about the missing passport, insisting Lohan’s dad did everything he could to help her get back to America to attend the hearing.

She tells talk show host Larry King, “He’s been in Los Angeles the last few days, so the accusation that he stole her passport in France is absurd… Michael has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to try to help his daughter, including trying to get her a private plane, trying to get her an expedited passport yesterday. He’s also tried to get her to go to rehab for many months. And Lindsay doesn’t like that. She doesn’t like hearing that. Michael doesn’t take her out partying. He doesn’t support the lifestyle that she’s in.”

The 23 year old is next expected in court on Monday (24May10).

Lindsay Lohan Blames Dad For Stolen Passport

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan has blamed her estranged father for the passport problems which jeopardised her important probation hearing in Los Angeles – and insists she’s embroiled in a set-up.

The Mean Girls star must appear before Judge Marsha Revel at Beverly Hills Courthouse on Thursday (20May10) to determine if she satisfactorily completed court-ordered alcohol education classes stemming from a 2007 arrest.

Reports suggest a warrant will be issued for her arrest if she fails to appear.

The actress recently jetted to the Cannes Film Festival and her father Michael accused her of deliberately flying to France ahead of the probation hearing in a bid to land a quick jail sentence rather than rehab.

Lohan now appears to be stranded in Europe after her passport was allegedly stolen at the annual movie event – and she’s convinced her dad is behind its disappearance.

She tells GossipCop.com, “My passport’s been stolen. It’s clearly an inside person who works with my father that has been sent to set me up. He’s been threatening me.”

Lohan has an appointment with U.S. Embassy officials on Thursday morning to help replace the document, but she’ll fail to make it back to L.A. in time for her court hearing – and the 23 year old is now facing further travel problems.

She admits, “All flights (are) booked.”

But Lohan is confident the drama can be resolved, declaring, “It’s all going to be fine… (but it’s) so scary”.
